Understanding Homeopathy

Homeopathy vs Ayurveda: What Is the Difference?

हिंदी में पढ़ें →

Both are part of AYUSH and both are popular in India, so people often mix them up. They differ in where they came from, how medicines are made, and how practitioners are trained.

Homeopathy and Ayurveda are often spoken of together because both fall under India's Ministry of AYUSH. But they are separate systems with different histories, ideas and medicines.

Is one "better"?

They are different approaches, and both are legally recognised systems in India with their own qualified practitioners. Neither replaces emergency care, surgery when needed, or essential medicines such as insulin. The most useful question is not which system is better, but whether your practitioner is properly qualified and honest about limits — see how to choose a qualified homoeopath.

Can you take both together?

Many people do. Tell each doctor everything you are taking, buy medicines only from licensed sources with proper labels, and be careful with unlabelled powders or products promising quick results. We cover this in detail in homeopathy with Ayurveda and supplements.
